The Senior Strut Returns!

John Deangelis

After a two-year hiatus it was finally time to strut again! Over 400 older adults gathered at Lloyd Hall on Friday, October 14 to join PCA for the 2022 Senior Strut. Following a musical send-off by James Day and The Fish Fry Band, participants walked one mile along scenic Boathouse Row, Kelly Drive. After the walk, they returned to their starting point at Lloyd Hall for a health and information fair with free health screenings.

Older attendees also enjoyed fitness and entertainment activities led from a demonstration stage and received free t-shirts. The Always Best Care Senior Services presentation stage and seating area featured diet and exercise related activities. A DJ was on-site to provide music, and participants received healthy snacks, giveaways, and more.

Thank you to Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, Always Best Care Senior Services and our presenting sponsor PA Health and Wellness for helping us make this great event possible.
