What Does a Senior Companion Do?

  • Conversation and socialization
  • Light meal preparation
  • Running errands and light shopping
  • Accompanying participants to medical appointments
  • Must be age 55 or older
  • Must meet program income requirements
  • Must be able to serve 20 hours per week
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Tax-free cash stipend
  • Travel and meal reimbursements
  • Paid holiday, sick and vacation time
  • Paid pre-service training and four hours of continuous monthly training
