Get Fresh for Free: PCA’s Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program Offers Free Produce Vouchers for 2025

Sarah Greer

Philadelphia’s older adults can enjoy the taste of summer with fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables—at no cost—thanks to the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP), an annual initiative supported by the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA).

The program provides income-eligible Philadelphians aged 60 and older with free produce vouchers to use at certified farmers markets across Pennsylvania. With funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture (PDA), PCA distributes tens of thousands of vouchers each summer to help seniors eat well, stay healthy, and support local agriculture.

Voucher distribution for the 2025 season will begin after June 23 and continue through September 30, or until all vouchers are claimed. Vouchers are distributed on a first come, first served basis, and must be picked up in person at PCA’s headquarters or at participating senior centers across Philadelphia County.
