John Deangelis

Repurposed from USAging

Yesterday, USAging released their 2024 Policy Priorities at the 30th annual Aging Policy Briefing in Washington, DC. The priorities outline the critical policy considerations facing Area Agencies on Aging and Title VI Native American Aging Programs–and the whole Aging Network. They also reflect where collective advocacy is needed this year to promote the health, security, and well-being of older adults in every community across the country, including:

  • Support Aging Well at Home by Investing in Older Americans Act (OAA) Programs and Services
  • Recognize and Support Caregivers
  • Prioritize Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services Options to Reduce Unnecessary Institutionalization
  • Connect Health Care and Aging Sectors to Improve Care and Reduce Costs
