PCA supports WHYY’s “Caregiving” documentary spotlighting the realities of care

Bill Conallen

PCA was proud to support WHYY’s recent screening of Caregiving, a powerful new PBS documentary executive produced by Bradley Cooper. The film highlights the emotional, physical, and systemic challenges caregivers face across the country.

Held at WHYY’s Lincoln Financial Digital Media Education Studio, the event featured a community resource fair and a panel discussion moderated by WHYY’s Marty Moss-Coane. PCA’s Director of Caregiver Support, Cheryl Clark, represented PCA as both a panelist and resource provider, helping to spotlight the vital services we offer to caregivers in the region.

Produced by acclaimed documentarian and Philadelphia native Barak Goodman, Caregiving shares deeply personal stories of those caring for loved ones—from adult children supporting aging parents to parents caring for children with complex needs.

Catch the national broadcast of Caregiving on WHYY-TV on Tuesday, June 24 at 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 29 at 1:00 p.m. The film will also be available to stream for free on the PBS website and app.

Watch excerpts from the panel discussion here: WHYY YouTube Live Recording (program begins at 5:05).
