Supporting LGBTQ+ Elders Through HUD’s Office of Community Planning and Development

Join SAGE and staff from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of Community Planning and Development (CPD) to learn about important sources of funding that can impact LGBTQ+ elders. CPD aims to empower residents by helping give them a voice in the future of their neighborhoods, stimulate the creation of community-based organizations, and strengthen existing organizations. Staff will discuss how CPD partners with local governments, different funding sources such as the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, and strategies for LGBTQ+ organizations and advocates to access or influence grant funding on the state and local level.
