PCA to host three virtual health self-management workshops, free to those ages 60+

Want to better self-manage your health issues, including diabetes, asthma, heart disease, and high blood pressure? Register for a virtual workshop through PCA! All workshops are FREE for those age 60+! Each program runs for six weeks and meets weekly. All participants will receive a Self-Management Tool Kit in the mail containing program supplies.

Chronic Pain Self-Management Program – *Abbreviated – Phone based*
Workshop dates: Wednesdays – Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23 and March 2 & 9
Time: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

In the abbreviated Chronic Pain Self-Management Program, participants will learn tips and strategies to take charge of their chronic pain, deal with problems such as frustration, fatigue, isolation, and poor sleep, and learn how to become more involved in everyday activities. 

Chronic Disease Self-Management Program – *Zoom based*
Workshop dates:  Thursdays – Feb. 10, 17, 24 and March 3, 10 & 17
Time:  10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

In the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program, participants with chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, asthma, heart disease, and diabetes will learn new ways to take charge of their health and learn tips to manage pain, depression, and overcome physical limitations.

Diabetes Self-Management Program – *Zoom based*
Workshop dates: Tuesdays – March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 and April 5
Time: 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

In the Diabetes Self-Management Program, participants will learn about making a healthy eating plan, managing blood sugar levels, balancing eating, physical activity and medications to prevent problems as well as managing diabetic-specific problems.
