PCA’s Community Engagement team connects diverse populations to the supports necessary to age with motivation and dignity in their homes and communities. Staff and volunteers actively engage the community where they are, setting up tables at more than 350 outreach events each year, including health fairs, senior expos, faith-based gatherings, community events, and block parties.

A Commitment to Inclusion

The Community Engagement team has established several advisory councils to assist in outreach to populations of differing ethnicities and creeds. These councils are integral in assisting Community Engagement with outreach efforts, including events and multi-language literature. A current list of these councils can be found below:

GenPhilly is a vibrant network of emerging professionals from Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA) and other age-friendly organizations. Together, we inspire Philadelphians to build meaningful connections with older adults in both their professional and personal lives. Through innovative programs and professional development opportunities, GenPhilly empowers its members to raise awareness about aging-related issues and champion a culture of positive aging throughout Philadelphia.
