PCA to host July 16 virtual public hearing on 2020-2024 Area Plan and budget for 2020-2021
PCA is holding a virtual Public Hearing to obtain comments on its draft 2020-2024 Area Plan and fiscal year 2020-2021 proposed budget. The hearing will take place on Thursday, July 16, 2020, from 10 a.m. to noon. We will host it on the Zoom platform. Registration can be found by clicking here.
Every four years, PCA is mandated by the Older Americans Act to create a four-year Area Plan for aging services. Every effort has been made to incorporate input from a wide range of stakeholders into the development of the draft Area Plan. Once again, we would like to invite stakeholders to join the conversation and share your ideas and insights on our proposed goals and objectives and directions for the future. We also welcome your thoughts about the fiscal challenges facing the aging network next year.
The Public Hearing will begin with a review of key points in the 2020-2024 Area Plan and the fiscal year 2020-2021 proposed budget. The majority of the Public Hearing, however, is reserved for stakeholders to provide comments on the plan and budget. At the end of the Public Hearing, there will be time for a Q & A.
To request a draft copy of the plan, or to request to testify during the Public Hearing on Thursday, July 16, please contact tae.oh@pcaCares.org. Written testimony must be received by Monday, July 13. Please also remember to register for the event via Zoom.
Where possible, those presenting testimony will be grouped by issue area, in order to provide more continuity in the presentations.
