Belmont Center for Comprehensive Treatment
Services for older adults include one Partial Hospitalization Program an Intensive Outpatient Program and two on-site (Belmont Center) and two satellite Outpatient Programs (in the Germantown/Olney area). These programs are three-hour therapeutic programs for older men and women (age 65 and over) who are dealing with issues of aging grief/loss of spouse physical illnesses depression role change adjustment to retirement who want to meet other older adults and learn new methods for coping and ways to continue growing. Patients generally attend program from 2 to 5 times a week. Highlights of the program are: free transportation; groups run by masters level trained clinicians; individual therapy and medication follow-up available; and free lunches. There are also two Geriatric Inpatient units available one at Albert Einstein Medical Center and one located at Belmont Center for Comprehensive Treatment. Senior Recovery track at Belmont site focuses on rehabilitation of the older adult with substance abuse and emotional problems.
