"Ombudsman" comes from a Swedish word meaning, "citizen representative," and is used to describe someone who represents the interests of others. PCA’s Ombudsman Program serves consumers of long-term care, including participants at older adult day centers, residents of nursing homes, personal care homes and domiciliary care homes. The program helps to ensure that the rights of these residents are upheld and investigates complaints received from residents and family members. Learn more
