Domiciliary Care

Consumers benefit by becoming a part of a family and receiving individualized attention—far more personalized than one might receive in a personal care home or long term care facility. Placements continue for as long as providers and consumers are satisfied with the living arrangement. This highly successful program is one PCA’s oldest and includes participants who have been together for more than 20 years.

Dom Care consumers, who may have physical or mental disabilities, receive:
  • Help with housekeeping and laundry
  • Assistance with personal hygiene
  • Assistance with medication administration
  • Help getting to and from medical appointments
  • Three nutritious meals a day
  • Lots of attention and support
Dom Care providers receive a monthly stipend for each resident.

Making “the Match”
When arranging Dom Care placements our staff carefully considers consumer and provider preferences and interests. Once a living arrangement is established, PCA care managers remain involved to monitor the living situation.
