PCA’s 2018 Celebrate Arts & Aging
PCA’s 16th annual Celebrate Arts & Aging festival features more than 150 works of art by senior artists on exhibit at three locations this month. Admission to the exhibits is free, and artists’ receptions will be held at each venue.
For free and discounted admission to arts and culture venues, also pick up the May issue of PCA’s Milestones newspaper (available May 1), which features articles and full information about Celebrate Arts & Aging activities. Milestones is free and available online and in news boxes, libraries and other convenient sites throughout the city.
The celebration coincides with Older Americans Month. In addition to exhibits of senior artwork, it also provides seniors with the chance to experience the arts through classes and performances, and by connecting to the area’s many arts and cultural offerings at senior community centers, arts centers and other venues.
Celebrate Arts & Aging is presented by Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA); and sponsored by Always Best Care Senior Services, Health Partners Plans, JEVS at Home and PECO.
