PCA sets public hearing to address needs of Philadelphia’s older adults for Sept. 20
PCA is holding a public hearing to obtain comments regarding its programs and proposed budget for fiscal year 2018-2019 on Thursday, Sept. 20, at 10 a.m. at PCA, 642 N. Broad St. Seniors, aging-services professionals and other interested stakeholders are invited to attend the hearing and may provide verbal and/or written testimony.
This year’s hearing will include a review of the PCA proposed budget and a briefing on the impact the state funding level has on PCA programs. With the exception of a limited funding increase to support our Older Adult Protective Service activities, PCA’s allocation of governmental funding was once again held flat.
An increase to this allocation would have allowed PCA to provide services to seniors on our Options waiting list, and consider an increase to our provider agencies. Anyone interested in attending is asked to register by Sept. 18 at 215-765-9000, ext. 5086, and to indicate if verbal and/or written testimony will be provided.
All participants who provide verbal testimony will also be asked to provide their comments in writing. Written testimony can be emailed to Kimberly.Glenn@pcaCares.org.
