Environmental Health Services: Inspection of nursing homes, boarding homes, day care centers, public swimming pools, barber and beauty shops. Investigation of incidents of improper disposal of medical waste; of waterborne and foodborne illnesses. Environmental Health will also do home safety inspections and provide smoke detectors, nights lights and bath mats. These items are only handed out as part of a safety inspection.
