Service Details

Mayor's Commission on Services to Aging - Employment
Provides community workshops on health care insurance and fraud prevention, assistance with federal and state income tax forms, rebates on property taxes or rent, discounts on water bills, low income energy assistance grants, other entitlements, plus general information and referral.  Provides advocacy for older adults on various programs and services. Assists with PACE applications.  Operates Title V Senior Employment Program which provides employment and job search training to seniors fifty-five and over. Places applicants in subsidized employment, part time, twenty hours per week, in non-profit and public agencies to acquire valuable skills and work experience.
