Center for Disability Law and Policy administers the Client Assistance Program (CAP). CAP provides assistance to individuals with disabilities by informing and advising them of all available benefits under the Rehabilitation Act; and, when requested, assists them in their relationships with programs, projects, and facilities providing services to them under the Act. CAP advises clients on their rights and responsibilities in connection with those benefits. Helps clients pursue administrative, legal, and other available remedies when necessary to ensure the protection of their rights under the Rehabilitation Act. CAP assistance is not limited to persons with disabilities seeking or receiving services from OVR or BVS, but also includes supported employment programs and centers for independent living. Provides legal assistance under Title I of the ADA for individuals who have been discriminated against in employment. All services of CAP are free of charge.
