ACS provides literature, information and speakers on cancer detection and treatment. Provides information on the Society's services, educational and patient support programs. Referral to appropriate community services is available. Round-trip transportation to the patient's treatment center provided by volunteer drivers is available. Reach to Recovery Visitation Program - trained former breast cancer survivors visit newly diagnosed breast cancer patients either in the hospital or at home. Reach to Recovery Fitting Program provides women who have had mastectomies with free, temporary, and weighted prostheses.

* "Look Good...Feel Better" for women undergoing cancer treatment;
* "Man to Man" support group for men with prostate cancer;
* Financial assistance for medications, equipment and supplies for those with financial hardship;
* Help with homemaker/home health needs
* Has annual conferences for survivors.
* "Let's Talk About It" provides prostate health education.

Homemaker/Home Health Aide Program Information/Applications: 215-985-5401
ACS has received funding from PEW Charitable Trusts and the Danielle Foundation. The homemaker/home health aide grant is a $300.00 stipend for a cancer patient to use for homemaker, personal care or cleaning. Services may be provided by an agency or individual of the patient's choosing, such as neighbor, friend or relative. The grant is available for people with cancer age 18 or over who reside in Bucks, Chester, Delaware. Montgomery or Philadelphia Counties. I ncome guidelines are approximately $22,250 yearly for one person; $30,000 for two people and an additional $7,850 per year for each additional family member. In extenuating circumstances the income can be slightly higher. Referrals must be made by a professional in a health or community-based setting. An application is submitted by the referral source and must identify the patient's plan for the use of funds.
